North American Desi Idol 2009: Talent Contest Rules

• I declare and warrant that I am:
a) With Desi (South Asian) heritage background,
b) Age 14 year and over as of April 30, 2009
c) Not under contract for any entertainment related organization.
• I have read and agree to abide by the rules, regulations and terms and conditions of the competition as revised from time to time by the organizers and accept the decision of the organizers as final and hereby acknowledge that the interests of the competition shall override those of any contestant.
• The organizers shall be entitled to:
a) Change, add, or delete any parts of the competition proceedings and formats.
b) Make and to authorize the making of any recording of my performance separately from or in conjunction with the competition.
c) Include, or choose not to include, my name, likeness, voice, biographical details, photographs of me and recordings of interviews with me separately from or in conjunction with the competition in all media and formats.
• The organizers may assign my services and all other rights in my contribution to and participation in the competition to any of its associated member organizations and to any other third party.
• It shall be the responsibility of the audition winner to participate in the North American Desi Idol 2008 Grand Finale, and to arrange for all necessary travel documents needed by the authorities. Only a suitable conveyance will be provided by the Desi Idol. If for some genuine reasons, the winner is unable to travel he must inform the Desi Idol Executive Director in writing a month before the Grand Finale date.
• Application forms submitted without any of the documents requested above will not be valid. Neither the documents will be returned nor the registration fee refunded.
• Prizes: Only the judges are authorized to award the prizes and only selected participants will be contacted.
• Audition: only on the day announced. All participants will auditioned on first come first server basis.
• Participants follow the dress code, selected participants will have a exclusive marketing rights with Desi411.com/ its company for two years.
• Participants must bring their supporting music CD. The organizers will not be responsible for any malfunctioning of the participants music track.
• All participants must present a valid I.D.
• All participants must pay a non refundable US $30/- to enter into the contest.Registration Online is USD $20/-
• Optional: two recent passport-size portrait photographs that also can be emailed.
• Optional - Certificate or another official proof of age and nationality.
• All performances must not hurt Desi values and without offensive gestures.Performance must not exceed 4 minutes
• All auditions will be recorded and will remain with Desi Idol. Audition tape (price: $45.00) will be mailed only after the show.
• Notices regarding contest, Documents and Services: In no event shall DESI411.COM, DESI IDOL and/or its respective suppliers be liable for any special, direct, indirect or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from participating in the Desi idol contest, whether in an action of contract, negligence or other tortuous action, arising out of or in connection with the use of performance in the contest, documents, provision of or failure to provide services, or information available from the services
